What to do if you test positive for covid whilst in Tenerife

This article will help you understand what to do if you become infected whilst visiting Tenerife.

What happens if you test positive

If you experience mild symptoms you can continue your journey with a mask on.

If your symptoms are severe we recommend contacting 900 112 062 and remaining in your accommodation to await instructions.

Remember please wear your mask if you are entering a medical centre.  

Hints and tips

  • Pack some free NHS testing kits, you can then check your covid status. 
  • Check your insurance cover before you travel, make sure you are covered in case you test positive and are unable to travel. 
  • If you don't have travel insurance the canary island will provide you with an AXA policy free of charge to cover expenses relating to covid (T&C Apply) but do not rely on this!
