No trip to the seaside is complete without some good old fish and chips and it’s especially true if you happen to be in Las America’s, home to one of Tenerife’s most famous chippies - The Palms Fish and Chips.
Located next to the entrance of the H10 Las Palmeras, this quaint little chip shop is smack bang in the center of Las Americas and just a few hundred meters from the seafront, perfect for those who want to watch the world go by whilst enjoying some delicious home comforts, or for filling up between bars.
A chippy is judged by the quality of its food and The Palms delivers on all fronts. The chips are always cooked to perfection but the fish is the star of the show, both in size and flavor, it’s absolutely massive and I’m told that the cod is to die for. I personally flit between pudding with gravy or the battered sausage with curry, and always with a giant helping of mushy peas. Is anybody else getting hungry?
They also deliver to most places in the south for just €3; from Callao Salvaje to Golf del Sur / Amarilla Golf, so you can get your fill without leaving your balcony (well, except to open the door).
Lloraine - the owner - is always welcoming and a visit to The Palms feel just like visiting your local back home, even your first time. Pay her a visit and give them a follow on Facebook to take part in their Fish and Chip Friday weekly give away.
