From midnight Friday 17th December Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura are moving into level 3 due to rising numbers of active covid-19 cases, the Canarian Government announced on Thursday evening.

Here is a summary of the changes that will come into effect with the new level:

  • Establishments and activities must close at 02:00 AM
  • Interior capacity is reduced to 33%
  • Exterior capacity is reduced to 50%
  • There is a maximum of 6 person people per group, except those who live together

You can read the full list of restrictions for each level in our help article: What are the current covid regulations in Tenerife.

It is worth noting that establishments that have opted to join the covid certificate program can operate at one level lower than normal (so in this case; level 2), however customers will need to present the proof of being fully vaccinated to enter. Please check with the venue ahead of time if you are unsure.
