From 4 am on Friday 7th January 2022, you will no longer need to take a pre-departure test to enter England after travelling abroad. The government also announced that you will no longer need to self-isolate while waiting on your day 2 negative PCR tests. These latest rule changes apply to fully vaccinated passengers and passengers under 18.

Additionally, From 4am on Sunday 9th January, there will be an option to take a lateral flow test instead of a PCR.

This is a welcome change for the travel industry and hopefully a step in the right direction for 2022.

These rules apply to England only. Rules for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland remain the same. For more information visit the UK government website
